Robert Thomsen is a singer, songwriter, guitar player from the Faroe Islands. Having sung throughout his child hood he became a singer of a rock band and later a solo artist.

Robert Thomsen was born on September 16, 1977 on Tvøroyri, Faroe Islands. He is married to Oddvá and they have three children. They are living in Porkeri, where Robert works as CEO of a software development company called Appnet. Robert has a BSC in software construction.

Music career:
Robert started in a rock band as a lead singer and a guitar player. In 2001 Robert and his band "Z-free"attended the national Faroese band contest "Prix Føroyar". They also recorded a song on a cd called "Grótføroyskt". After a couple of years touring the Faroes. The band was dissolved. Later Robert joined a gospel choir in a local church and also all men's choir. His devotion for singing and playing guitar was big, so he started to participate as a youth worship leader. After a couple of years he audiotioned as a tenor in United Voices, which is one of the best Gospel choirs in the Faroe Islands. At the same time he started taking singing lessons from a student of the famous gospel singer, Etta Cameron. When he moved to Denmark in 2005, to study computer science, he joined West Coast Gospel Voices, which is one of the best choirs in Denmark. He also joined a worship Band in a local church. In 2010 he released the cd "Longsul" with some friends. In 2011 he joind a Local Country artist "Evi" where he played guitar and sang back-up vocals in her band. He tored around Faroe Islands with Evi for a year where they played at many concerts and festivals like The Summer Festival i Klaksvik which is a festival where very famouse artist have performed through the years like D.A.D, Rasmus Seeback, Ronan keeting, Westlife and many more. In 2012 Robert started to teach guitar in a Music school. Now he perfoms at events as a Solo artist. And participates in a band in a local church.
